Oscar-winning production company Caviar has expanded the cast of Joey Power’s romantic comedy Love Language, adding Chloe Fineman (Saturday Night Live), comedian and podcaster Bobbi Althoff (The Really Good Podcast), Morgan Jay (St. Denis Medical), Stephen Schneider (Broad City), Dan Perrault (American Vandal), Zach Zucker (Sweethearts), Christian Pierce (The Real Bros of Simi Valley), Marchánt Davis (Reality), and Daniel David Stewart (For All Mankind) to join the already-announced ensemble.
The film, which is currently being shot in Chicago, Illinois, also stars Chloë Grace Moretz, Anthony Ramos, Manny Jacinto, Isabel May, Lukas Gage, and Billie Lourd. Plot details are being kept under wraps. The production is being produced by Bert Hamelinck and Allison Hironaka for Caviar, Colin Jost and Jeff Grosvenor for No Notes Productions, and Ari Lubet for 3 Arts Entertainment. The executive producers are Michael Sagol from Caviar and Tyson Bidner. Caviar has also arranged the financing for the film, with CAA Media Finance handling the U.S. rights.
Fineman, known for her work on Saturday Night Live, is also starring in the upcoming feature Summer of 69, directed by Jillian Bell, and The Dink, produced by Ben Stiller. Earlier this year, she was featured in the Cannes Film Festival premiere title Megalopolis, directed by Francis Ford Coppola.
Althoff, who has made waves in the comedy world with her The Really Good Podcast, which launched in 2023, quickly became a sensation, racking up over a billion views and more than 250 million likes. She was awarded the 2024 iHeart Podcast Award for “Best Emerging Podcast.” Althoff’s no-nonsense, deadpan humor has drawn celebrity interviews with the likes of Drake, Mark Cuban, Offset, Shaquille O’Neal, and Lil Yachty, solidifying her place as a comedy staple.
Morgan Jay, a comedian and actor, has appeared on major platforms like Apple TV+, NBC, MTV, and Comedy Central. He is also a stand-up comedian with three specials to his name: Real Love, I Hope My Ex Doesn’t See This, and Live at The Village, the latter of which will be available on a major streaming platform early next year as part of his sold-out This One’s For You… theater tour.
Stephen Schneider, best known for his role in Broad City, also starred in the Transformers spinoff Bumblebee and the mockumentary series Players. Recently, he had a recurring role in Season 3 of Danny McBride’s The Righteous Gemstones on HBO.
Dan Perrault, the co-creator of American Vandal, is also known for writing the screenplay for Strays, a film starring Will Ferrell, Jamie Foxx, and Isla Fisher, which was picked up by Universal Pictures. Perrault will soon star in the upcoming Shonda Rhimes series The Residence on Netflix.
Zach Zucker, a comedic talent and creator of the variety show Stamptown, has had an illustrious career in the comedy world. His off-Broadway show Jack Tucker: Comedy Stand Up Hour was named a New York Times Critic’s Pick, and he’s performed at some of the world’s largest comedy festivals including Just For Laughs, Glastonbury, SXSW, Edinburgh Fringe, and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Zucker is also seen in the series Sweethearts on Max and the upcoming film Swiped for Searchlight.
Christian Pierce, another actor from The Real Bros of Simi Valley, is well known for his collaborations with Jimmy Tatro. He has starred in supporting roles in projects like Zoe 102, 5 Years Apart, and the AMC series Millennials.
Marchánt Davis, who debuted in The Day Shall Come with Anna Kendrick and Danielle Brooks, has since starred in Tuscaloosa, A Journal for Jordan (directed by Denzel Washington), and Reality with Sydney Sweeney. He also starred in Lee Daniels’ Ain’t No Mo and Broadway’s Good Night Oscar opposite Sean Hayes.
Daniel David Stewart, an actor and singer, has starred in films and TV shows such as the Hulu adaptation of Catch-22, the Apple TV+ series For All Mankind, and the upcoming season of Reacher on Amazon.
